Because of the inner part of the irradiated self-regulating heating core, our pipe heat cable can automatically adjust its power output to compensate for the temperature changes of the pipe. The multi-layer design also makes it more durable, ensuring that it lasts up to 3 years!

Accurate Build-in Thermostat

The thermostat turns the pipe heat tape on 43°F(close to freezing) and shuts it off when the temp. is approximately 55°F(well above freezing). The thermostat needs to have contact with your pipe to keep track of the temperature and heat up accurately.

Normally, you will be able to feel the slight warmth on the heating cable in a few minutes. Then, you can turn it off.
